Description
Familiar voices echoed in the distance. She couldn't quite make them out. They bounced around in her head, repeating and repeating.
Staring like that--"
The room around her was non-existent. She felt like something was supposed to be under her, holding her up, but rather felt like she was floating on air. It was a strange feeling. Scary, yet soothing. Something overwhelmed inside of her, what was it? It seemed like reality was nothing these feelings and memories. Landscapes. Snow. Red hair. Green eyes. Those same green eyes she saw today. Where did they go?
The voices echoed again, different one this time.
Was she dead? Maybe she was. She thought she woke up from a dream, but why was the dreamy haze still here?
Suddenly, like she was hit by a bat, she slipped back into world. She felt like she dropped back onto something, and the voices in the distance were close and real.
"Yushi... please listen to me."
Yushi widened her bright violet eye, a frightened look within the orb at the abruptness. She quickly looked around, completely forgetting where she was. She was in a room, to who knows where. By the doorway, there stood a gray cat with oddly colored hair. Half black and half white, and her eyes were blue and green, each one different color. In front of her sat a black panther, a woman probably in the age of her 30's. Who was this woman? She seemed familiar, but she couldn't quite find the sense.
"What's wrong with you?" She cried softly, tears falling down her gray muzzle as her lip quivered. Was there something wrong with her? "Don't you know me? Why are you looking at me like that?" Yushi forgot that she had the ability to talk, so she just stared at the woman. She looked utterly devastated. "Please remember me."
Yushi dug hard into her memories. It was in there somewhere, she could feel it. She knew this woman. When it clicked in her head, she blinked. "... Mother?" That was it. This was her mother. She was the first face she saw when she woke up that one day, as if she was born, only she wasn't. The black panther scooped the small, green kitten into her arms.
"Yushi, I missed you so much..." She sobbed, clutching her tight against her warm body. "Please never leave me like that again."
The world around her began to distort again, and it didn't feel like she was in the arms of her... who was holding her again?

Yeah so Yushi had this disorder called depersonalization. Where she feels lost and dreamy and very EXTREMELY out of touch with reality.
See, after Kyomi left her when she was around 14. Yushi was in denial for a few days, but when it hit her that she really did leave, she had a very bad breakdown. Before Kyomi left, she marked Yushi with the ability of ice manipulation. It's called ice imprint. When Yushi's emotions get out of control really fast, her curse triggers and starts to overwhelm her. But Kyomi didn't ice imprint Yushi for the sake of giving her a fun, cold power. It's to take care of her. Her ice imprint reacts to her curse, it puts her into a coma so the curse will be forced to stay neutralized. Her whole body froze ice solid, and when Yushi's mom, Victoria had found her like that, she completely freaked out. She sent her to hospitals and contacted so many people to get her child unfrozen, but nobody could figure out how to fix her. So eventually Yushi was sent away to some sort of hospital-like lab so experts could continue to find a way. Years past and she was still frozen, so after a while they kind of started losing hope.
One day, when she came unfrozen, Victoria got a call that everyone in the building her daughter was held in was dead. All except her, who was finally awake. She wasn't unharmed though. She had a really deep bite on the side of her neck. When she got her back, she was shocked to find that Yushi hadn't aged a day since she was frozen. She was still 14.
Her family couldn't really get her in reach, because she was always having that lost, hazy look on her face.
Yushi hardly ever got live the years of her life. When she woke up, she was 5. Got kidnapped. The years whirled by with tramuatic events until she was 13. Returned home at the age of 14. Then at 14, she fell into a deep sleep that made the real world feel unreal.
For a while, Yushi had trouble sensing what was wrong and right and ethics and such. It took a few years to help her, and even then she still has these episodes of depersonalization. They can last from one minute to a couple of hours.
Lmao here I am ranting about my ocs again xD
Yeah but Yushi is supposed to be like 19 but since the ice coma stunt her age, she is three years behind her age. So she is 16.
Man that was long. I got this idea from some time yesterday. I was thinking about memories, and then the future and how I was going to live my life. Then I started thinking about when I die, and how I'm not going to get another chance to live again. Then all of sudden, I completely forgot where I was and who I was and it felt like all a big dream. Idk how to even explain it but it was really weird how far away reality felt. Does this happen to anyone else????
I'll try to make these into comics so you guys can see it better pffff hope this wasn't too boring for y'all OTL She's about 14 here btw :I
